ACC Sports added to Apple TV prior to college basketball’s March Madness tournament

College sports-focused ACC Digital Network (ACCDN) today announced the launch of the “ACC Sports” channel on the Apple TV, bringing with it college sports highlights and exclusive ACCDN feature programming to Apple TV owners in the US. The ACC Digital Network is the broadcasting home for sports action from college’s Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The station’s addition to the Apple TV is timely as it coincides with college basketball’s March Madness basketball tournament, which kicks off March 18th. Apple TV owners will be able to follow their favorite ACC teams as they make their way through the tournament. “Our goal since we launched the ACC Digital Network is to deliver ACC fans immediate access to their school video highlights wherever they want to watch it,” said Dana Golden, EVP Strategic Partnerships of the ACC Digital Network. “Through Apple TV, fans will be able to go directly to their favorite school content and have all of their game highlights, school features and classic tournament games on demand in the comfort of their living room. In addition, our partnership with Campus Insiders will give fans access to college highlights and news from schools across the country for a comprehensive view of the college sports landscape.” Besides March madness, Apple TV owners also will get access to bonus content including Campus Insiders, which covers NCAA basketball during the post-season. At launch, Campus Insider will contribute more than 70 videos, which include previews of all 68 college teams selected for the NCAA’s upcoming basketball tournament. Once the basketball season is over, more than 100 insiders will be publishing sports-related content from college campuses across the US. Continue reading
