iPhone 6 concept showcases iPod nano-inspired design

A report from earlier this year hinted that Apple was working an iPhone with an iPhone 5c and iPod nano-inspired design that would ditch the slate grey hues and bring some color to Apple’s premium iPhone line. Concept artist Martin Hajek and iCulture went beyond color and imagined an iPhone as an oversized iPod nano. The concept rendering form Hajek showcases the iPhone 6 with some familiar touches, such as the iconic UI of iOS and the distinctive Touch ID home button. The gentle curved form factor of the iPhone 5/5s has been with a distinguishing boxy design that is reminiscent of Nokia’s Lumia handsets. Apple is expected to increase the display dimensions of the iPhone from its current 4-inches to a sizable 4.7-inch or 5.5-inch display. Early rumors hint the company may be working on two larger models for launch later this year, but a more recent report suggests Apple will debut the 4.7-inch version before increasing the display size even further in the future. The iPhone 6 may also feature a sapphire glass display, a faster A8 processor and improvements in camera performance. It likely will launch alongside iOS 8, which should be unveiled at WWDC in June. Do you like the idea of a larger iPhone? How about a boxier model like the one shown above? Share your thoughts in the comments. [Via MacRumors] Continue reading
