Apple to announce its Q2 2014 earnings on April 23

Apple updated its Investor’s website with information about its upcoming Q2 2014 earnings report. The company will release its quarterly earning reports and hold its earnings conference call on April 23. Apple typically releases its earnings report around 4:30PM ET, following the close of regular stock trading in the US. The conference call to discuss those earnings follows the earnings report at 5:00 p.m. ET or 2:00 p.m. PT. The call features commentary from CFO Peter Oppenheimer and Apple CEO Tim Cook who discuss the earnings and answer analyst questions. This first three months of the year is usually a slow quarter for technology companies, which face a dip in sales after in the fiscal quarter after higher than average sales in the previous holiday quarter. Last quarter, Apple reported a record number of iPhone and iPad sales that climber to 51 million iPhone units and 26 million iPad units. For this just ending quarter, Apple predicted near-zero growth year over year with predicted revenue of $42-44 billion and gross margin of approximately 38 percent. Continue reading →
