United Airlines will offer free in-flight movies and TV shows to iPhone and iPad users

United Airlines has just announced a nice little treat for iPhone and iPad users by offering free in-flight entertainment with a wide range of movies and TV shows to choose from. This will be available to all users who have the United Airlines app installed on their iPhone or iPad. Users can pick from over 150 movies and 200 TV shows and can pause, rewind, forward or skip to a new movie whenever they want. The service will be accessible for notebook users as well but with a browser plugin. Thankfully, this service does not require users to pay for a separate Wi-Fi connection from United, which means basically anybody can access the service. Here’s what the company’s official statement said – “Most planes will be equipped with the new system very soon, and we’ll have it installed on most domestic aircraft by the end of 2014. We’ll begin on Airbus A319, Airbus A320, Boeing 747-400 and select 777-200 aircraft, followed by additional fleets. In the end, all United-operated flights will have some form of entertainment.” The United Airlines app is free on the iTunes AppStore and can be downloaded directly from the link below.
