After delivering the base models of the Mac Pro to buyers during the holiday, Apple is sending out a second round of shipments to customers who customized their orders. The change in order status to “Preparing for Shipping” for these custom builds was reported by several forum members at MacRumors. Several other posters report getting an actually shipping notice with delivery scheduled in the next few days. Though Apple is shipping the Mac Pro to customers who ordered online, a report earlier this week from Electronista claims Apple’s inventory of the Mac Pro is low. As a result, the company won’t be able to stock the Mac Pro in stores until March or April. Ordering online is your best option if you want a Mac Pro.
