A few months back, we had shared a Nike FuelBand inspired iWatch concept that looked great, but had a few flaws. Designer Todd Hamilton today posted an improved version of the concept, showing a long, but narrow touchscreen running “iWatch” optimised apps. From Todd’s blog post: I kept the band simple with a curved touchscreen display on the front. For physical controls I placed a single button on the left to act as the home button, and two more on the other side for volume controls. For the lock screen I designed a simple black & white interface displaying the time, date, and button to activate Siri. From here the possible actions are: tap to use Siri, swipe up to unlock, or pull down to view notifications. The concept watch has a Springboard too, with each page showing four icons vertically stacked. Here’s a video demoing how you’d make a phone call: We’ve seen several iWatch concepts till now, but this one’s my favorite not only because of how it looks, but also because of its well-imagined functions. Let me know what you think. Make sure you check out Todd’s blog for more images, and details about this iWatch concept. Continue reading
