Job listings suggest the iPod is still on Apple’s radar

The iPod may be declining, but it is apparently not dead. According to a report by 9to5Mac, the company is still hiring program managers and engineers within the iPod division. Far from shuttering its iPod operations, Apple recently added a variety of listings on its job boards for positions within the iPod division of the company. There are several openings for New Product Introduction Operations Program Managers in the iPod division. These individuals will work with OEMs, product teams and suppliers in order to secure a smooth iPod product launch. Other positions are on the engineering and development side of the production process. There’s an opening for an iPod Technical Program Manager, who “will partner closely with the Engineering during all phases of development to enable operational success in the mass production” and a Plastics Tooling Eng. Program Mgr, who will work on the iPod, iPhone and Mac. Continue reading
