Apple is gearing up for the big holiday shopping season with a shipping guide for shoppers who want their iPads, iPhones or Macs before December 24, 2013. It is not surprising that the order-by dates for the retina iPad mini and iPad Air are extremely early as these new tablets are very popular. If you want an iPad mini with Retina Display, you need to place your oder by December 5th. The iPad Air is next on the ordering block, with an order-by date of December 9th, followed by the iPhone 5s on December 12th. These dates include both the engraved and non-engraved options. The rest of Apple’s product line gives you some breathing room — allowing you to order as late as December 18 with standard shipping and December 22nd with next day air. Custom Mac purchases and orders with device engravings must be placed a few days before these deadlines. Besides publishing its order deadlines, Apple also confirmed it will be offering free standard shipping throughout the holiday period. There is no minimum purchase to receive this free shipping. If you are a last minute shopper, Apple will likely offer free next-day shipping like it did last year. The return period is also extended to accommodate the December holidays. Customers have until January 7, 2014 to exchange products purchased between November 1, 2013 and December 25, 2013. Are you shopping at Apple this year? [Via MacRumors] Continue reading
