Some Berlin thieves ditched the finesse forms of robbery and used a crude, but effective smash-and-grab method to life some merchandise from an Apple Store in Berlin.According to Bloomberg, thieves stole an Opel Corsa and drove it through the front window of the Apple Store at Berlin’s Alexa shopping mall. The thieves pillaged the store, grabbing about 100,000 euros ($137,000) of electronics. All of the stolen property were display units as the store’s inventory was locked in a back room. Berlin police department spokesman Thomas Neuendorf confirmed that this was the seventh break-in of its kind this year. “These are not amateurs,” said Neuendorf. “We suspect that we’re dealing with a gang.” Continue reading
