Mac Pro customers who were the first to order are getting an early Christmas present. According to a report in AppleInsider, Apple is sending out shipping notices for those who ordered the base configurations.Customers who are receiving shipping notices were among the first to order the $2,999 quad-core version and the $3,999 6-core model when they became available. These models went on sale with a December ship date, which quickly slipped to February. According to reports, the Mac Pro units will be arriving after Christmas, close to the December 30th target. Apple pushed out the Mac Pro last week, just barely making good on its promise to deliver the machine by the end of the year. Continue reading
