Tip: Click a photo while multitasking on iOS 7

Tip: Click a photo while multitasking on iOS 7

A nice, but relatively unknown iOS 7 trick is that you can click a picture using Apple’s Camera app right from the multitasking switcher. Here’s how you do it. Open the Camera app and double tap the home button to enter the multitasking switcher. Scroll to the Camera app, and you should see a live preview of the camera as you move around your device. Press the volume button to click a photo. If the Camera’s video mode is active, iOS will initiate a video recording rather than clicking a picture. Similarly, you could also shoot a whole panorama from the multitasking switcher. This feature is admittedly not very useful since it requires Camera to be the last opened app, but is nonetheless pretty cool, especially when you compared it to the iOS 6-era, where you simply got an icon for each app in the switcher.
