Apple to launch iPad Air and Retina iPad mini in India on December 7

BGR reports that Apple will be launching iPad Air and Retina iPad mini in India this Saturday, December 7th. Saturday seems like an odd day for the release of the new iPads as Apple prefers to launch new products on Friday, but BGR claims that they’ve received a press release from the company. BGR reports: The press release mentions that the iPad Air 16GB Wi-Fi will be priced at Rs 35,900 while the iPad mini with Retina display 16GB Wi-Fi will be available for Rs 28,900. There is no official word on the prices of the other variants but earlier reports had indicated that the iPad mini Wi-Fi only 32GB will be priced at Rs 35,900, 64GB at Rs 42,900 and 128GB at Rs 49,900. The iPad mini with Retina Display Cellular version will start from Rs 37,900 for 16GB, Rs 44,900 for 32GB, Rs 51,900 for 64GB and Rs 58,900 for 128GB. The iPad Air Wi-Fi version will start from Rs 35,900 for 16GB, Rs 42,900 for 32GB, Rs 49,900 for 64GB and Rs 56,900 for 128GB. The cellular version, meanwhile, will start from Rs 44,900 for 16GB, Rs 51,900 for 32GB, Rs 58,900 for 64GB and Rs 65,900 for 128GB. Apple launched the new iPad Air on November 1st, followed by the launch of the Retina iPad mini on November 12th in 42 countries.
