Apple celebrates Mac’s 30th Anniversary, shoots movie using iPhone 5s, edited on Macs A week ago, Apple celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Mac with cool t-shirts for its store workers, along with a special interview with ABC News. Now we find out the tech giant has been working on a secret project, representing 30 years of the Mac’s existence. Paper: Facebook’s News Reading app now available on the App Store A few days ago, Facebook previewed its news reading app Paper for iOS that wants to help you explore and share stories from your friends. The app is now live on the App Store. New report claims iPhone 6 to come with larger screens with 1080p and 2K resolution, 2GB RAM A number of reputable media outlets have corroborated claims of the iPhone 6 coming in two sizes, but a new research note from KDB Daewoo Securities tells us a lot more about Apple’s much-rumored next-generation iPhone. Microsoft names Satya Nadella as its new CEO Microsoft just announced Satya Nadella as its new CEO. Nadella leaves his old position as Executive Vice President of Microsoft’s Cloud and Enterprise group to take over the reigns. Apple releases iOS 7.1 beta 5 Apple has just seeded the fifth beta version of iOS 7.1 (build no 11D5145e) to developers of the iOS Developer Program. Apple lures sleep researcher Roy J.E.M Raymann away from Philips for iWatch Project Apple just added another big name medical researcher to its alleged iWatch dream team. According to 9to5Mac, Apple has hired Roy J.E.M Raymann, a sleep researcher who was formerly employed by Philips. Apple to use a stepped lithium-ion battery in its iWatch Apple is allegedly using a lithium-ion battery supplied by Samsung, LG or Tianjin Lishen for its upcoming iWatch, says a report in The Korea Herald. This rumor follows an earlier report that claimed Apple was looking at solar and induction technologies as potential power sources for its iWatch product. Apple and Imagination Technologies extends iPhone, iPad graphics chip license Imagination Technologies today announced that it has extended its licensing agreement with Apple. The agreement is a multi-year deal that gives Apple access to the company’s PowerVR graphics and video hardware. Financial terms of the deal wasn’t made available in the press release. Apple posts job listing seeking physiologists, possibly for iWatch, but quickly pulls it Apple recently posted a job listing on its website seeking “User Studies Exercise Physiologists” who will be tasked with designing and running user studies related to cardiovascular fitness and energy expenditure. This is of course a big hint that Apple’s working on a fitness and health related product, possibly the iWatch. Apple may be acquiring sapphire manufacturing components to produce 200 million iPhone displays Apple is preparing to kick off its sapphire manufacturing operations in a big way claims a series of reports in 9to5Mac and TechCrunch.
