Rumored Facebook reader may include “Save for later” feature

Facebook users already spend a lot of time on the network and soon they may have another reason to spend even more time pouring over posts and articles on the social network. This new attention-grabber may be an Instapaper-like feature that allows you to save articles to read at a later time. According to a report on AllThingsD, Facebook is testing a feature that would bring a piece of Instapaper and Pocket to the social network. The feature allows users to save links shared on Facebook to a “Read It Later” list. It was originally spotted by MyTechSkool, which noticed a small bookmark button inside stores on the new feed. Click the button and the link will be sent to a “Saved” menu that’s accessible inside the Facebook app. A Facebook representative wouldn’t comment on the feature only saying, ““We’re constantly testing new features, but we have nothing further to share at this time.” Facebook is rumored to be working on a newsreader-like service and the ability to save articles to read later would be an integral part of such a service This feature has been available to some users, but it is not known how many people have spotted in their mobile Facebook app. Have you seen the “Saved” feature?
