As expected, BlackBerry has updated BBM for iOS with support for iPad and iPod touch in addition to the iPhone. The update also includes a number of other features like “Tell your friends” and the ability to easily share your BBM PIN on social networks. Sadly, the update doesn’t have an iPad optimised interface, but simply runs as an iPhone app. This is still however great for folks who are BBM fans but don’t have an iPhone. Here are the full release notes: - Support for iPod and iPad - Invite BBM contacts to BBM Groups by Email - ‘Tell your friends’ feature helps you connect with friends on BBM - Quickly share your BBM PIN and PIN barcode to your social networks - Fixes an issue where some users would be missing BBM Contact names - Resolves some issues experienced in right to left language support - Bug fixes and performance improvements If you’re an existing BBM user on the iPhone or any other device, keep in mind that one BBM account works on just one device. So if you want to use BBM both on your iPhone and iPad, you’ll have to create two separate accounts, unlike iMessage of Facebook Messenger, where one account works across all devices. If the app hasn’t been automatically updated, you can download the update via the Updates tab in the App Store app or use the iTunes link below. Download link: ➤ BBM for iOS – free Continue reading
