Pocket for iOS gets major update with content highlights, improved navigation and more

Read it later app Pocket has been updated to version 5.0, gaining a number of new features, including the ability to highlight links you’d like the most, an improved search experience and streamlined navigation. Here’s a description of highlights, from the Pocket blog: Highlights uses Pocket’s insights to surface the best and most relevant content that’s already saved in your list. Highlights are presented in different ways throughout the app, and are built upon the familiar list of items that is at the core of the Pocket experience. Highlights are split into categories like Best Of, Long Reads, Short Reads and Trending. Pocket will learn and adapt highlights based on your reading habits. Here are the full release notes of Pocket for iOS v5.0: Pocket 5.0 is smarter, more dynamic, and offers streamlined navigation and search. We’ve designed it to help you spend more time reading, watching and consuming the best content in your list, and less time looking for it. Pocket 5.0 introduces Highlights, a feature that uses Pocket’s insights to surface the best and most relevant content in your list. A new streamlined navigation makes it easier than ever to jump to your List, Highlights, Favorites, and Archive, and quickly filter your content no matter where you are in your list. We’ve also unified search to make it easy to find anything in Pocket. It’s no longer necessary to re-enter your search when switching between My List and Archive to find what you’re looking for.
