Vine 2.0 for iOS brings private video messaging

Vine, Twitter’s video sharing service known for its six-second videos, has just been updated to version 2.0, with a bunch of new features, including the ability to send private Vines to your friends. The feature’s called “Vine messages” or VMs, and is one-to-one, that is there’ no group messaging available yet. So if you send a VM to multiple friends, it’ll create separate conversation threads for each of your friend. You can also send public Vines as private messages to create a conversation, and even send VMs to anyone via email or SMS, even if they’re not on Vine. Version 2.0 also lets you theme your profile with colors from settings, which will then be visible to all users who view your profile. If the Vine app hasn’t been automatically updated, you can download the update via the Updates tab in the App Store app or use the iTunes link below.
