SaveGram: Save Instagram Photos to the Camera Roll with Two Quick Taps

Instagram is a great social network, and definitely one of the most popular photo sharing platforms in the world. But one of its drawbacks, despite being intentional, is that you can’t save the beautiful–or not so beautiful–photos you find on your news feed. If you’re jailbroken, you can grab a new tweak called SaveGram that lets you do this. While saving Instagram photos is already theoretically possible by way of screenshotting and cropping, SaveGram makes the process of preserving Instagram memories just that much easier. After you’ve installed SaveGram, all you have to do is tap the “∙∙∙” icon at the bottom-right of a photo and tap the newly-available “Save” button. Interestingly, there’s an app on App Store with the same name, which offers very similar functionality in full-fledged app form. But the two are completely unrelated as this tweak comes from renowned jailbreak developer insanj (creator of BlurBar, SwitcherBlur and other tweaks). Once you install SaveGram, there are no options to configure and no settings panel in the Settings app. Check out our video rundown of the tweak, as seen on our YouTube channel iPhoneHacksTV: To get the tweak, head over to Cydia and search for “SaveGram.” You’ll find the tweak on the default BigBoss repository, and it’s completely free. Be sure to let us know in the comments what you think of this new tweak! Continue reading
