New Apple Remote app icon spotted in App Store

It’s looking inevitable that Apple’s Remote app will be updated in the very near future. For the second time in less than a week, a new iOS 7-inspired icon for the Remote app has been spotted in the wild. The Remote app allows iOS owners to control their Apple TV or iTunes using their iPhone or iPad. Late last week, some iTunes users spotted the new Remote app icon in iTunes version 11.1.2. Now, the new flat-styled icon has made its appearance again. This time the icon landed in the Columbian App Store, says a report in MacRumors. Though we haven’t seen any screenshots from the app, we assume it will be overhauled with a new look and feel that matches the minimalist style os iOS 7. The Remote app is long overdue for an update. It was last updated in January 2013 with a handful of changes that improved the rating of songs and the sorting of podcasts. The Remote app saw a major overhaul about a year ago when version 3.0 brought a new UI that included an expanded view and improved search function. Continue reading
