The thinner, lighter iPad Air, unveiled last week, goes on sale in a number of countries on November 1st, which might be tomorrow in your time zone, but is already today in Asia-Pacific countries. Not surprisingly, the launch of the iPad Air has been greeted with long lines around the world. This year, Apple didn’t take pre-orders for the iPad Air, so lines are expected to be a long longer this time around. That said, Apple will reportedly offer in-store Personal Pickups, that will allow buyers reserve their iPad starting midnight November 1st, who can later pick it up from an Apple Store without waiting in line. You can get the iPad Air shipped to your home too, from Apple’s online store, but it’s not guaranteed you’ll have the device with you on launch day. Here’s a quick look at photos of people waiting for the iPad Air from around the world.
