At the iPad event last week, Apple announced that its professional desktop, the Mac Pro, will be available at the end of this year for a starting price of $2999. The company this week also sent out a set of Mac Pro posters to select journalists, highlighting its design and structure. Here’s what the text accompanying the posters says: It’s the computer we were insane to build. The one that turns conventional thinking on its head, then kicks the living $#&% out of it. We challenged all our assumptions. Abandoned our preconceptions. And blew away limitation after limitation. This is the new Mac Pro. It’s like no Mac we’ve created before. And we can’t wait to see what you create with it. The posters measure 36 x 25 inches, and were delivered in a black cardboard cylinder.
